From Small Sounds to Confident Reading
A joyful, step-by-step phonics and early-reading programme, thoughtfully designed for children growing up in multilingual India.

Open a new world
That’s the idea behind systematic synthetic phonics: learn sound–letter connections, then blend those sounds to read words.
See how it worksMore than seeing a letter.
A whole way of learning.
Hear it. Feel it. Make it meaningful.
Our developing eight-step framework brings children into the learning with their ears, eyes, voices and hands.
Hear
Listen closely to the target speech sound.
Feel
Notice how the mouth moves to make it.
See
Look at the letter or letters that represent it.
Link
Connect the sound with its written form.
Build
Put familiar letters together to make words.
Blend
Join the sounds together to read the word.
Read
Use that knowledge in sentences and stories.
Recall
Revisit learning until it becomes familiar.
Designed for India.
Designed for your child.
Children don’t arrive at reading with the same language or the same story. Their first steps should make room for both.
Every home language respected.
Many languages. One confident start.
Designed to respect home languages, with familiar-language parent support planned as the programme grows.
A world that feels like home.
Original stories and everyday Indian settings help make new reading feel familiar.
A little continuity goes a long way.
Simple home practice and a shared school approach, with mobile-first, low-bandwidth access in mind.
A reading journey
that grows with them.
From listening for sounds to unlocking stories, each stage builds on the last. Progress follows readiness, not a race.

When separate sounds come together, a word appears. That small discovery is the beginning of something wonderful.
Try this together. Say the sounds, then gently bring them together from left to right.

View all questionsWhat is systematic synthetic phonics?
It is a structured approach to learning how written letters represent speech sounds. Children learn a planned sequence of sound–letter connections, then blend those sounds to read words and segment words into sounds to support spelling. Previously taught learning is revisited as the sequence grows.
What ages is LipiLeap designed for?
The intended audience is children aged approximately 3–8, with starting points guided by readiness and existing knowledge rather than age alone. The programme is also being designed with reading intervention in mind. Individual learning needs should be discussed with an educator.
Is LipiLeap available to enrol in now?
LipiLeap is currently in development. This website introduces the proposed approach, resources and enquiry pathways. Course dates, pricing, subscriptions and school implementation details will be shared when they are confirmed.
How will it support multilingual Indian learners?
The design priorities include familiar contexts, culturally relevant stories, clear English pronunciation without accent shaming, and parent guidance in familiar Indian languages. Specific language support and materials will be announced as they become available.
Will my child need to learn a different accent?
No particular accent is presented as the goal. LipiLeap aims to support clear speech sounds for reading while respecting the languages and accents children bring. Pronunciation guidance is being developed for the learning context.
